Every charter is led by Captain Stephen, a licensed captain (Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura) who comes from a long line of captains and began helping his father on the water at age seven. He has lived in Playas del Coco for nearly 20 years and knows the Gulf of Papagayo's reefs, currents, wildlife, and — most importantly — its weather, so every trip is planned around the day's real conditions. He speaks fluent English and Spanish, and is learning French.
You'll be aboard our 2004 Pro-Line 23' Sport center console with a 250 HP Suzuki outboard, head (marine toilet), and shade. It's designed around groups of up to four guests, with a fifth guest available on request.
- Fully licensed & insured. Captain Stephen holds a valid INCOPESCA license, the boat is fully insured, and all required safety equipment is on board.
- We depart from the beach at Playas del Coco — guests wade a short distance through shallow water to reach the boat, which is standard for local charters. Wear water-friendly footwear for boarding. Marina pickup from Flamingo or Papagayo is available on request — contact us when booking.
- Up to 4 guests; a 5th guest can be accommodated on request. Captain only.
